A BMW is engineered to tight tolerances. Servicing it to the CBS schedule, with the correct Longlife oil specification and the right consumables, is what keeps engine, gearbox and electronics healthy for the long run. We service every modern BMW to the manufacturer CBS programme — and reset the digital service indicators on ISTA the same way a main dealer does.

CBS oil service vs inspection

CBS (Condition Based Service) replaces a fixed Service A / Service B calendar. The oil service is typically due at 12 months or around 10,000–15,000 miles and covers engine oil and filter, fluid checks and a CBS reset. The vehicle inspection is the longer check — often around two years depending on how the car is driven — and adds brake fluid, cabin/air filters where due, spark plugs on petrol engines, and a deeper inspection list. Your iDrive or instrument cluster will tell you which CBS items are due — or we can read them on ISTA.

Genuine parts and the right oil

We use BMW Longlife oils — typically LL-01 for petrol engines and LL-04 for diesel engines with a DPF (and many later petrols that specify it). The wrong viscosity or specification is a common cause of premature timing-chain wear, VANOS issues and DPF loading on modern BMWs. We do not cut corners here.

Digital CBS reset on ISTA

Every service is recorded and the CBS counters are reset on BMW ISTA. The history is visible to any BMW main dealer, and it fully protects your warranty and residual value under Block Exemption.
