BMW Service Costs in London 2026: Independent CBS Prices from London
What you should actually pay in 2026 for CBS work, diagnostics, MOT and common extras at an independent BMW specialist in London — without a Park Lane markup.
Headline numbers from Hainault
CBS oil service from £249. Vehicle inspection from £349. ISTA diagnostics £85, credited if we repair. DVSA MOT £54.85. Those are starting points; a 7 Series oil fill is not a 116i oil fill. We quote from the VIN before you book the day off.
What the oil-service band includes
Correct LL-01/LL-04 (or later FE) oil, OEM-spec filter, checks, microfilter if due, ISTA CBS reset. 1/2/3 Series four-cylinders sit at the bottom of the band; X5/7 Series at the top. If someone in London quotes £149, ask which Longlife number went in.
Inspection, plugs and brake fluid
Inspection adds brake fluid, air filter when due, plugs on petrol CBS, and the longer checklist. Spark plugs can add £100–£180 depending on engine. We list them on the quote. Dealer “menu prices” that double when extra CBS items appear are the trap; we put extras on the first email.
Diagnostics, DPF, 8HP
Diagnostics is £85. DPF clean versus replace is data-driven. 8HP service is a planned extra, not a surprise add-on on collection. Air-spring quotes are per corner after a leak test — not a mythical “full kit” by default.
Dealer comparison
Main-dealer CBS on a 320d often lands 40–60% higher for the same ISTA stamp and similar parts quality. You are entitled to independent servicing under Block Exemption. Bring the car to Forest Road if you want the work without the waiting-room premium.
